Cookie Policy

Last updated: 14 September 2026

This policy explains what cookies VaticanTickets.co uses, why, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They let a site remember things between pages or visits – such as your cookie preferences, or whether you arrived from another site. Some are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies); others stay for a set period (persistent cookies).

We also use similar technologies such as pixels and local storage where noted below; this policy covers those too.

Cookies we use

1. Essential cookies

These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off.

2. Analytics cookies

These help us understand how the site is used – which pages are read, where visitors come from, and where they leave. Data is aggregated and does not identify you.

We have enabled IP anonymisation in Google Analytics. Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

3. Affiliate cookies

When you click a booking link to GetYourGuide or Tiqets, the partner site sets cookies in your browser to record that you came from VaticanTickets.co. If you then make a booking, the partner credits us with a commission. These cookies are set on the partner’s domain, not ours, and their names and durations are controlled by the partner.

TiqetsAttributes bookings to our site for a limited period after you clickhttps://www.tiqets.com/en/privacy

Some partner links on our pages may also load a small tracking pixel before you click. These only load if you have accepted affiliate/marketing cookies.

4. Embedded content

Some pages may embed maps, videos or booking widgets from third parties (for example Google Maps or a GetYourGuide widget). These providers may set their own cookies when the content loads. They load only after you consent to the relevant category.

How to manage cookies

On this site: you can change your choices at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not stop you from using the site or clicking through to partners – it only means analytics and attribution cookies are not set. (If you reject affiliate cookies, we may not receive a commission for your booking; the price you pay is unaffected.)

In your browser: all major browsers let you block or delete cookies. Instructions:

  • Chrome: chrome://settings/cookies
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working correctly.

Do Not Track

Our analytics tool respects the Global Privacy Control signal where supported. We do not currently respond to the older “Do Not Track” browser setting, as there is no agreed standard for it.

Changes

We review this policy when we add or remove tools. Any changes are posted here with an updated date.
